Play enough poker and you see everything.

Me: 7d 7s
Faust: Jd 8c

Flop: 7h 9c 7c
Turn: 5c
River: 6c

This hand raises a couple questions about the odds for Faust sucking me out
here. Just what is the price of his soul....

First question is just how rare is it that quads appear in the same hand as
a straight flush? Assume a full ring game.

Second question is assume I am dealt four 7s face up and you are dealt the
Jd 8c face up. I then say you can use my 7d or 7c and 3 more cards which I
will deal to go for the straight flush. At what odds to you take this bet?
Note there are 4 ways to make a straight flush here with Jd and 5 ways to
make it with 8c.

Poker calculator says I was 331-1 to win after the flop. But of course with
only 40 straight/royal flush combinations and 624 quad combinations, it is
DAMN rare to see them together. Sure wish there was a bad beat jackpot for
this one....

Don't let Faust shuffle and deal anymore.

saw a hand at a SnG sattellite at the WSOP this year, quads sixes was the
third best hand. One guy catches str8 fulsh, second guy catches the
ignorant end of the str8 flush.
