Discussion:
Full Tilt's Reload Bonus vs. Rakeback
(too old to reply)

It looks like Full Tilt is now offering their $300 re-deposit bonus
again. I've been doing the rakeback thing for a while on the Party
Skins, but it seems like the re-deposit bonus may actually be a better
deal.

I found this post:

which seems to confirm this theory. Have any mathematicians figured
out what type of bonus you need to beat a 25% rakeback?

Unless the bonus requirements are ridiculous (like 25x to 50x raked hands)
bonuses are almost always more +ev than rakeback.

Many bonuses end up being equiv to 100% rakeback or more while clearing the
bonus.  Bonus clearing beats rakeback when compared to rakeback and only
rakeback.

That being said, I rarely clear bonuses anywhere besides Party/skins because my
win rate there is significantly higher than anywhere else.  My loss in EV is
rarely compensated fully by bonus clearing.   Depending on what stakes you play,
this may or may not be the case for you.  If you are playing like 1-2 limit or
something the bonus EV is probably more than enough to offset the loss of EV
from not playing on Party.

Why not take advantage of both?

You can get rake back for Full Tilt at http://www.RakeBacks.com along with the
sign-up and reload bonuses.  Any bonus you've cleared will be deducted from your
total monthly rake by Full Tilt.

Rake back is definitely more profitable for most players over the long run.
Yes, bonuses can pay more per hand, but only for very small and limited amounts
of money.  With rake back you have the potential to earn much more than the
bonuses offered by poker sites...and the ability to keep earning it every month!

Bonuses are usually better, and because Full Tilt gives such a big
bonus with such a long time to clear it, it is probably your best bet
(if the alternitive is rakeback).

I know on Full Tilt, you get .06 of bonus cleared for every $1 raked
from the pot, so at a 9 person table, if they rake a dollar, they pay
.54 in bonus (if everyone has a bonus). You are essentially getting a
50%+ rakeback, and it can last a while depending on what limits you
play and how much you deposit.
